The following menu items and pricing are to
serve only as examples and guidelines. We have varying backgrounds
in cuisine, and we can most likely create
any dish that your event may require. For years,
our company has struggled to come up with a fair
pricing system, and has given the following
prices to serve as a guide. Pricing depends on
so many different factors, which may
substantially increase or decrease the cost of
your event. Some of the factors that we consider
are the number of guests attending, the
frequency at which you may use our services and
the nature of your event. We strongly recommend
that you allow us to set up a face-to-face
meeting to discuss your requirements. This will
enable us to consider all of your event specific
information in creating your estimate. Discounts
may be offered to first time clients, University
of Virginia or state affiliated groups,
non-profit organizations and others.
To ensure adequate food quantities and related
services, you will need to confirm guest count
by the date specified in our contract. This is
generally five days prior to the event date.
However, we can make special arrangements under
extenuating circumstances. After your
confirmation date, we are able to accommodate
increases in guest count, but not reductions, as
we cannot return excess food supplies ordered
for your event. Guest count changes can be
communicated by phone, fax or e-mail. Unless
notified of changes within contract time frames,
we will prepare and bill for the contracted
number.
To reserve a specific event date, the Shebeen
Pub, Braai & Catering Outfit may require a
deposit, which will be applied toward your final
bill. If required, the deposit amount and
payment due date will be shown in your contract.
The deposit for a function canceled with
fourteen days or less notice becomes the
property of the Shebeen Pub, Braai & Catering
Outfit. Payment in full is required at the
completion of the event unless other previous
arrangements have been made. Additional charges
for late or insufficient payment may be applied
to the final balance due. We accept payment by
cash, check and all major credit cards.
When selecting menu items, please keep in mind
that event specific criteria may affect the
types of food that you can serve. We can always
set up a tented outdoor kitchen, location
permitting, which allows for more flexibility,
however, this tends to be on the expensive side
of logistics. Things to consider: is there a
kitchen on site, availability of electricity &
water, venue specific requirements and the kind
of event. We are happy to steer you in the right
direction should you have any inquiries as to
the appropriateness of a menu item. |
